Laura Agyeman
M.S., CCC-SLP
CEO, Executive Director, Speech-Language Pathologist
Originally from Davis, CA, Laura holds a B.A. in Child and Family Psychology (Azusa Pacific University) and an M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology (University of the Pacific). After college and before graduate school, Laura taught private piano and voice lessons, and worked as a behavioral therapist and instructional aide for children with moderate/severe Autism Spectrum Disorder. It was in the midst of her work with children with special needs that she crossed paths with Speech-Language Pathologists who inspired her to make a career change. Laura now has several years of experience as a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist and has worked in a variety of settings, including public schools, private clinic and in-home (her favorite). In these, she has had the privilege of working with hundreds of families with children spanning a wide range of ages, from toddlers through teenagers. Laura has significant experience treating children with a variety of needs, such as: early speech and language delay, cognitive delays, ASD, articulation and phonology, language disorders (semantics, syntax and morphology, pragmatics), and more. She is continually grateful to be in such a meaningful, rewarding career and to have the opportunity to work with so many wonderful families. At the helm of Radiant Kids Therapy, Laura is passionate about creating a positive, supportive company culture for team members and providing the best possible services for clients. In addition to her roles as CEO, Executive Director, Speech-Language Pathologist and the many other hats she wears, Laura feels grateful and blessed to be married to her wonderful husband with two active, sweet young kids at home: a 4 year-old son and 2 year-old daughter. As a creative at heart, Laura has a rich artistic history in musical theatre, vocal performance, songwriting, writing, worship leading and musical composition. In her rare moments outside of company work and family life, she also greatly values being involved with her church community.
