Emily received her B.A. in Human Development with an emphasis in Counseling Services as well as her M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology from California State University, San Marcos. While working in the public schools, Emily serviced students at the preschool and elementary school levels. She has worked with children with varying levels of need such as: expressive and receptive language disorders, speech sound disorders, stuttering, Autism, cognitive delays, and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). In working with the preschool population specifically, she gained a strong passion for Early Intervention and saw the positive effects it has on the child and family. Emily enjoys playing and engaging with children to help facilitate functional and meaningful communication development as well as working as a coach and partner with the family. She loves following the lead of the child in their natural environment and working to enhance their ability to express themselves.
