In-home Pediatric Physical Therapy in San Diego County

We make the work of therapy fun for your child.

ABOUT PHYSICAL THERAPY (PT) FOR KIDS

Sometimes kids struggle to walk, jump or meet motor milestones for reasons ranging from injury to childhood conditions or developmental delay. This can make it difficult for your child to do the important parts of being a kid, such as moving, playing and enjoying life. Our sessions are filled with fun so your child doesn’t even notice the “work” aspects of building skills like strength, flexibility, or coordination.

Our physical therapists are experts in the unique needs of infants, toddlers, and children up to age 18. You’ll receive exceptional children’s physical therapy in the comfort of your own home in San Diego County, or elsewhere in California via telehealth.

In-Depth Physical Therapy Evaluation

The #1 goal of the first session is to lay the foundation for a good relationship with you and your child. We do this through understanding your concerns and spending time in play with your child. Establishing this relationship sets your child up for even greater success in therapy as he/she will look forward to sessions, feel comfortable with the therapist and see therapy as more fun than “work.”

Based on your child’s age and area of need, during the first appointment, we’ll complete standardized assessments and fun activities to fully assess your child’s struggles and put together a plan for our work together.

The typical initial evaluation lasts about an hour and takes place at your preferred location, usually your home. Feel free to prepare by gathering any helpful medical or school reports and creating a list of your top concerns for your child.

Physical Therapy Sessions with Big Smiles & Big Gains

Every physical therapy session is unique to the child and family and can change based on your child’s needs of the day. We come to your home (or your child’s school) on a weekly basis to provide play-based physical therapy designed to address your child’s goals.

More than just avoiding drive-time and waiting rooms, our in-home model makes it easier for us to provide solutions that fit into your daily life and meet your child where they feel comfortable.  We pair the benefits of the child’s natural environment with our focus on parent training and support

A typical session is 25 to 50 minutes, and we encourage parents to be active in the process so you’re crystal clear on what to do between sessions. We deeply value building connections with each family and as a result, we hear again and again how much parents and children enjoy their sessions.

Outside our San Diego County travel range? We’re available throughout the great state of California via telehealth.
