Radiant Kids Therapy is an in-network provider with Tri-Care West and Blue Shield of CA. We also work with private pay clients. Additionally, we are a contracted provider with the San Diego Regional Center Early Start Program to provide early intervention from birth to age 3.

We’re currently providing pediatric OT to families throughout the San Diego region including North County, South Bay, San Diego, East County.

Detailed Occupational Therapy Evaluation

The first visit is important but shouldn’t be a source of worry. Our goal for the initial evaluation is to build a relationship with you and your child. We want to understand your concerns and dig deeper into what’s behind those challenges. Then together, we’ll come up with a plan going forward.

The average initial evaluation takes about an hour and includes caregiver interviews, formal assessments, and observing your child while having fun together. Feel free to prepare a list of your top concerns ahead of time, gather past medical/therapy reports, or examples from your child’s schoolwork.

OT Sessions That Become a Weekly Highlight

Every session is unique to the child and family. We come to your home (or your child’s school if that is your preference) on a weekly basis to provide therapy designed to address your child’s goals in a fun way.  For young kids in particular, therapy is very play-based. Our pediatric occupational therapists are great at making therapy fun for older kids, too!

More than just avoiding drive-time and waiting rooms, our in-home model makes it easier for us to practice and get skill carryover in your child’s normal environment. For instance, if your child is struggling with sensory processing, together we might set up a sensory diet using items and activities available in your home.

The mission of OT sessions is two-fold: promote skills for your child and equip you as the caregiver. Our philosophy rooted in play and genuine connection means progress for your child during sessions you both enjoy.

If your location makes access to a quality pediatric OT difficult, consider our effective telehealth option.
